The institution of the penalty points system is introduced con il Decreto Legge 27 giugno 2003, n.151, convertito in Legge n.214 del 1 agosto 2003 (G.U. del 12 agosto 2003 n.186).
A decorrere dal 30/06/2003 alle patenti già in essere e a quelle rilasciate da tale data viene attribuito un punteggio di 20 punti.
Il punteggio è annotato presso l’anagrafe nazionale degli abilitati alla guida istituita presso il Dipartimento per i Trasporti Terrestri (DTT) del Ministero delle Infrastrutture e dei Trasporti.
Come si perdono i punti
Si incorre nella decurtazione dei punti a seguito della violazione delle norme di comportamento di cui al titolo V del CDS. L’elenco delle norme di comportamento che prevedono una decurtazione dei punti e il relativo n ° is contained in an Appendix in art-bis .126.
